Reference Materials

We have digitized the FamilySearch Research Outlines and other related reference materials from the BYU Library Family History Center “Blue Binders.” These reference guides are organized geographically. Although they are now out of print, they still contain relevant information about record types, reference resources, and methodology for genealogy in various geographic areas.

NOTE: Much of the content from these research outlines and other guides is now available in the FamilySearch Research Wiki, which may include more comprehensive and current information. Links to the Research Wiki are also provided for each country.
