These hours are subject to change including holiday, General Conference, and semester break closures, according the hours of the BYU Library and the limitations noted below.
In addition to walk-in and live virtual help, you may schedule an appointment for individual help in-person or virtually. Groups need to schedule an appointment for group activities or instruction, whether in-person or virtual. It is best to schedule group appointments at least a couple of weeks in advance. Contact the missionaries to schedule appointments.
Sunday Service Limitations
Only the Family History Center on Level 2 of the BYU Library will be open on Sundays. The rest of library will be closed Sundays.
Only in-person family history missionary help is available on Sundays, not student or full time employee assistance or virtual help.
Technical support will be limited on Sundays. If there are technical issues with equipment, please be patient, as these may not be able to resolved on a Sunday.
The library is closed on Sundays of holiday and General Conference weekends and semester breaks. Check the BYU Library hours for details of Sunday openings and closures.
Other Missionary Service Limitations
In addition to BYU Library closures, missionary service may be limited at some times when the library is open.
Missionary service is currently not available on Saturdays.
Missionary service is generally not available on weekday holidays or during semester breaks, even when the BYU Library is open.
When BYU Library services are limited to the Level 3 Help desk, there is usually no missionary service during those times. (See BYU Library Hours).
