Students desiring to give service can choose family history service opportunities.
... the Lord provides a way for each of us to gain confidence and satisfaction in all our service, including family history service. We gain strength to do what He asks through our faith that the Savior gives no commandment 'save he shall prepare a way for [us] that [we] may accomplish the thing which he commandeth' (1 Nephi 3:7).

Getting Missionary Help
Friendly missionaries in the BYU Library are ready to help you learn ways to give family history service. There are a few ways to get help:
Walk in to the BYU Library Family History Center (2250 HBLL) during missionary service hours and ask for a missionary to help you.
Anytime you do anything that helps anyone—on either side of the veil—take a step toward making covenants with God and receiving their essential baptismal and temple ordinances, you are helping to gather Israel. It is as simple as that.
