Service Notes: He fought in the Battle of Climbach in northeastern France, where American forces encountered fierce German resistance as they advanced toward the German border during World War II. The fighting around the village was intense, with American soldiers facing fortified positions, artillery, and small arms fire as they struggled to drive German forces from the area. During this difficult battle, he was killed in action while serving his country. He was 26 years old.
