Service Notes: He was he was killed in action while fighting in France during World War II. Like thousands of young American servicemen, he entered a country torn apart by years of war as Allied forces fought to liberate France from German occupation. Somewhere amid that campaign, his young life came to an end on the battlefield. He was 21 years old.
