Service Notes: He served as a co-pilot and navigator aboard a transport plane that supported missions carrying supplies into China and later Okinawa during World War II. While returning to India after one of these missions, his aircraft departed from a refueling stop at Blamo, Burma, but never reached its destination. Neither the plane nor any of the crew members were ever found, and he was declared killed in action at the age of 25.
