Service Notes: He enlisted in the military in June 1943, answering the call to serve his country during World War II. For nearly two years, he served as the war continued across Europe and the Pacific. In April 1945, with victory drawing painfully close and only weeks remaining before the war ended in Europe, he was killed in action. He was 23 years old.
