Service Notes: He served as a co-pilot aboard a B 24 Liberator bomber, flying dangerous combat missions over enemy occupied Europe during World War II. He successfully completed 20 missions, repeatedly facing the threat of German fighter aircraft and heavy anti-aircraft fire. On his 21st combat mission, his aircraft was lost over Germany and he was killed in action. He was 25 years old.
