Born: 16 March 1923, Gunnison, Sanpete, Utah, United States Died: 20 April 1945, North Kalimantan, Indonesia Served In: World War II Branch of Service: Army Rank: Lieutenant Service Notes: He was only 22 years old when he served as a pilot of a B-25 Mitchell bomber in the Pacific during World War II. B-25 crews flew dangerous combat missions over Japanese-held Borneo, striking airfields, military installations, shipping, and other enemy positions in support of Allied operations to retake the island. On one of these perilous missions over Borneo, his aircraft was lost and he was killed in action.
