Rank: Sergeant Service Notes: He served his country as a laboratory technician in the U.S. Army, performing important medical work in support of military personnel during World War II. While serving at an Army hospital in Springfield, Missouri, he became the victim of toxic poisoning and died as a result. He was only 25 years old.
