Born: 2 September 1919, Payson, Utah, Utah, United States Died: 16 October 1942, Aleutians East, Alaska, United States Served In: World War II Branch of Service: Army Air Force Rank: 2nd Lieutenant Service Notes: He served as a co-pilot aboard a B-26 with the 73rd Bombardment Squadron during World War II. Stationed in the harsh and remote Aleutian theater, his squadron flew dangerous missions against Japanese forces in and around the islands of Alaska. Aircrews faced not only enemy fire but also treacherous weather, heavy fog, fierce winds, and difficult flying conditions. While serving on one of these missions in Alaska, he was killed in action. He was only 23 years old.
