Service Notes: He served as a navigator aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress, carrying the critical responsibility of guiding his crew through the dangerous skies over enemy occupied Europe. During a bombing mission to Évreux, France, his aircraft failed to return to base. He was 27 years old.
