Born: 24 April 1910, Provo, Utah, Utah, United States Died: 28 March 1945, Italy Served In: World War II Branch of Service: Army Rank: Sergeant Service Notes: He served as a military truck driver, carrying out the essential and dangerous task of delivering mail to soldiers on the front lines. After completing one such delivery, he was driving along a narrow cobblestone mountain road when his truck suddenly skidded, left the roadway, and plunged down the mountainside. He survived the initial crash and was taken to a hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he died soon afterward. He was 25 years old.
